This unit studies the interactions between
demography and economics. It analyses the demo-
economic behaviour of families, notably in
relation to
fertility, consumption, intergenerational
transfers, etc. It also studies the relations
between population structure and the labour
market. It
investigates the links between age, sex,
productivity, wage levels, occupational
mobility and discrimination, with particular
focus on retirement and
pensions issues. The unit also measures the
impact of social incentives on individual or
family behaviour.
