The Institute, established in 2011, is a continuation of the Laboratory of Demography, created in 1990. Its multidisciplinary team conducts research and carries warrants studies in economic and social demographics. This international collective meta-catalogue enables simultaneous searches in about thirty different catalogues and collective catalogues of German, Swiss and Austrian libraries, national libraries and collective catalogues from about twenty different countries along with about ten commercial catalogues from online bookstores and digital full-text databases.
