Today, the couples which decide to live together can choose consensual union, marriage or civil partnership. How many actually live in cohabitation, how many get married, how many are civil partners? Which factors push them to choose one of these forms of unions?

In 2015, 36.7 million people throughout the world were living with HIV. Antiretroviral drugs have now been made available to more than half of these people (18.2 million) (UNAIDS figures). East and Southern Africa are the most affected, with 19 million HIV-infected persons.
