AIDELF (an international association of francophone demographers) was founded in 1977. It is made up of a multidisciplinary team of demographers and experts whose work is oriented towards demography. Today, AIDELF has 500 members, all of whom are francophone and come from about sixty different countries. Every two years, the association organizes an international conference on current themes in population studies.
The Association des démographes du Québec is a francophone non-profit organization founded in 1971. It has around 200 members from Quebec, Canada and elsewhere. The role of the ADQ is to strengthen ties between demographers, to promote the discipline of demography on the labour market and to disseminate demographic information. Publishes "Cahiers québécois de démographie", "Les Échos" and organizes an annual scientific meeting.
The Association of Population Centers (APC), founded in 1991, is an independent group of universities and research groups whose mission is to :foster collaborative demographic research and data sharin, translate basic population research for public policy decision-makers, provide educational and training opportunities in population studies. The APC is open to any organization with a primary interest in population research and training.
