The ELFE cohort

Website

The aim of the ELFE project is to observe for 20 years a cohort of 18,300 children recruited in 2011, in order to better understand how perinatal conditions and the various aspects of environment affect children's development, health and socialization from the fœtal stage to adolescence.
The environment is described in terms of its family, socio-economic, geographical and physical-chemical components. "Environment" here includes the family, socio-economic, geographical and physical-chemical aspects. The project is multi-disciplinary and based on proposals from 150 associate researchers.

ELFE s’inscrit dans la perspective du développement des panels et enquêtes de cohortes qui a notamment été recommandé par le Cnis (Lollivier-Chaleix, 2004).
