Challenges and political debate surrounding the production and use of demographic data: international perspectives

This conference will provide a platform for interdisciplinary debate to analyse the ways in which demographic data on developing countries are produced and used by decision-makers, investors, the media, development institutions and humanitarian organizations. 

Conference participants from a wide variety of disciplines (demography, political science, geography, sociology, anthropology, history, statistics, economics, public health) will seek to analyse these issues through a truly cross-cutting approach.
