Annual Conference in Memory of Valeria Solesin

The Department of Economics of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, jointly with the University of Trento and the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and INED (Institut National d’Études Démographiques), are pleased to announce the first Conference in Memory of Valeria Solesin.

A trained sociologist and demographer, Valeria was starting the final stage of her PhD at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne on contemporary fertility behavior in Italy and France. Her main research interests involved marriage and family, the role of women in the labour market and in society, and fertility decisions.                                                                              

This one-day conference provides an opportunity for presentations and discussions on recent developments in the fields of Demography, Economics, and Sociology
