Main findings
We were able to identify four types of users: students, including higher education (43%), primary and secondary school teachers (9%) higher education teachers and professional researchers (16%), and the general public (32%).
45% of internet searches were for a specific figure or datum.
The three topic areas users show greatest interest in are “Life expectancy, mortality, health,” “Births, fertility, contraception,” and “The world’s populations.”
63% of users report finding what they were looking for on the site.
49% give the site a 4 out of 5 rating, 35% a 5 out of 5.
Thanks to the survey, we will be able to serve you better and respond more directly to your searches.
