S(x): Survivor at age x
E(x): Life expectancy at age x
Note for the reader: Column S(x) denotes the number of survivors at each age x for an initial number of 100,000 births, and column E(x) denotes the life expectancy at each age x. This means that 88,716 of the 100,000 persons born in 2020-2022 have reached the age of 65 (penultimate column), i.e. a probability of survival equal to 88.7% (11.3% died before the age of 65). Life expectancy from this age (last column) is 21.04 years.
N.B. Indicators for men over the age of 100 are to be used with caution because of low numbers of centenarians.
